  • What is a virtual symposium?
    A real time engagement that takes place over the Internet using integrated audio and video, and chat tools between presenter and audience.
  • How do I register to attend?
    All presenters and attendees are expected to register. Please register here.
  • Who is the keynote speaker?
    Prof. Dr. Low Wah Yun from University of Malaya (UM).
  • Will I have a chance to ask questions? / How do I ask a question or make a comment during the symposium/ session?
    Yes, participants are allowed to ask questions during Q&A.
  • How much will it cost?
    Hooray! It is free for all to participate in this conference.
  • What time zones will it be offered?
    Malaysia Time, Kuala Lumpur UTC+8
  • Will I receive a certificate acknowledging my participation as a poster presenter, or oral presenter?"
    Yes, all presenters will receive a certificate.
  • How are presentations scheduled?
    Please refer to the programme schedule under the 'Programme' tab.
  • Can I request a day and time for my presentation?
    Unfortunately, no, the order is determined by the organizer.
  • How long are the presentation sessions?
    Oral presentation: 15 mins with 5 mins Q & A. Virtual poster presentation: 1 hour. For presenters: Presenters will be assigned in breakout rooms while sharing your posters on screen, and you may take turns with your coauthors to be in the room. For attendees: You may join the poster presentation of your choice by logging in the breakout room, Zoom links will be provided nearer to the date of symposium.
  • How do I present my poster virtually?
    How do I present my poster virtually?
  • Do I need to follow the poster format given by the organizer?
    Preferably, but the option is yours. You may refer to the guide provided in your email.
  • What is the size of a poster that fit best for my virtual poster presentation?
    Participants are to submit their poster in PDF format. There is no fixed size, as long as the text is clearly visible on screen.
  • What equipment do I need to attend the virtual symposium?
    Laptop/PC and headphones with mic. You can also use your smartphones to log in.
  • Do I need special software to watch the virtual symposium?
    No. We do recommend that you download Zoom and have the Zoom app installed on your computer, or Zoom app installed on your phone.
  • Can I watch the virtual symposium on my phone or tablet?
    Yes, with the Zoom app installed on your device.
  • Can I re-watch the symposium or are there any archival recordings?
    We are not recording any sessions.
  • There is a video, but I can’t hear. (How do I join with audio)"
    Check if your computer microphone is muted. If your computer volume is low, you can increase the volume and try plugging in headphones. Do check your audio settings in the control panel.
  • There is audio, but I can’t see the video."
    This could be due to internet bandwidth causing a lag. Try restarting Zoom. If you are presenting, check your webcam settings on Zoom and your computer’s control panel. To all presenters, there is a trial session for you to try this out ahead of the symposium. Trial date: 5th March 2021 Trial time: 10am -11am; 2pm – 3pm You may refer to the guide provided in your email.
  • How do I expand or minimize the video? (fit full screen)
    Click on the minimize/maximize button (two overlapping squares) on the top-right hand corner of your screen, or press F11 on your computer keyboard to get out of full screen. If you wish to switch applications, press Alt+F4 to view other windows on your computer.
  • Whom should I contact if I am unable to address the technical problem that is mentioned above?
    You can send us an email (psysunway@gmail.com) , Facebook message, drop a message in the 'Contact Us' section under this website's Homepage, or contact the person in charge of your session.
  • How can I check the status of my submission?
    You will receive a notification email to inform you on the status.
  • I am the first listed author on the paper, but I can’t come to the symposium. Can one of my co-authors be the corresponding author?"
    Yes. Please let us know via email as soon as you can on who will be presenting on that day.
  • If I can’t attend the symposium, can someone else present my paper?"
    See above answer.
  • Can I substitute a different paper after my paper has been accepted?
    No, you can’t.
  • Can I change the title of my paper after it is submitted?
    No, you can’t.
